Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Accredited Courses
Quality Assured qualifications which help people to know more about alcoholic beverages and to develop their skills, either as steps in a career path or as an enthusiastic amateur. The courses, accredited by WSET (the Wine and Spirit Education Trust) are provided by the Wine & Food Academy in association with SFX. Evening classes are held in St Francis Xavier College and daytime classes in Broadoak or another local venue.
1. WSET Level 2 Intermediate Certificate
Taken as a part-time evening course (9 sessions) or a day course (4 days) followed by a 50 question multiple-choice exam.
2. WSET Level 3 Advanced Certificate
This course can be taken either as fifteen two-hour evening sessions or five full days study, including the examination. Applicants need to have the level 2 Intermediate qualification in order to take this course.
